Dominic Stalker has been appointed by Fisikal as Chief Financial Officer, with a particular focus on supporting the company’s growth ambitions through the management of its next funding drive.

Whilst this is a new role for Stalker, he is no newcomer to Fisikal, having worked in a consultancy role for the company since February 2020. In addition to managing key client relationships, including Third Space, Stalker has been responsible for the development of a new reporting and intelligence module, that has transformed the way Fisikal’s clients view their data. This appointment is a clear indication of the company’s intent to extend its reach and grow its market share.

Stalker, son of industry veteran and President of Europeactive, David Stalker, brings with him a raft of experience, both from inside and outside of the sector.

Having graduated from Imperial College London with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and gained Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) certification in Corporate Finances, Stalker completed two internships, one with Morgan Stanley and one with Old Mutual Global Investors. He then went on to join the start-up executive team at Oxygen Free-jumping. Here, he was responsible for the development and implementation of all financial procedures and played an instrumental part in the raising of over £30 million in multiple funding rounds.

Stalker then pursued other interests within the fitness industry before re-joining the Oxygen Free-jumping Executive team on the request of the primary lending partner. In his role as Finance Director, Stalker was responsible for implementing and managing all accounting procedures, the onboarding of a new purchase order and accounts payable system and securing a further £1 million in interim funding.

Since 2020, Stalker has been working on a consultancy basis for a number of leading companies within the fitness industry, including Fisikal.

“I am really pleased that Fisikal has solidified my involvement,” says Stalker. “The company has spent the last 10 years honing its product and delivering successful integrations and standalone digital solutions for some of the most successful and iconic brands in fitness, both at home and overseas. Now, the founders, Rob Lander CEO and Emma Excell, COO, have their sights set on securing funding partners who share their vision for sustainable growth. I can’t wait to get stuck in and to play a key role in helping them to realise their ambition.”

Stalker officially started in his new role in May 2021.  Rob Lander, CEO, says: “It’s fantastic that Dom has joined us. His exemplary skills are complemented by his easy going, approachable and can-do personality which fits in really well with the rest of our team. 2020 was a strange year for everyone but, as the sector fires up again, we are very optimistic about the future. The pandemic has accelerated the sector’s acceptance of digital innovations and services, presenting favourable market conditions for Fisikal, a company focused on the provision of best in class digital business management solutions.”
